This project has made me laugh from beginning to end. When something this simple can put a big smile on your face, you know it's a good thing! So, it's all done. I hand embroidered the bird cage with metallic gold embroidery floss. I machine appliqued the birds and flowers. I played around with the photo, and made the green grass a bit hyper saturated, reminiscent of those brighter and larger than life color images from the 50s. I may have to make another circle skirt. I've already been gathering ideas.

The Circle Skirt Comes Full Circle
This project has made me laugh from beginning to end. When something this simple can put a big smile on your face, you know it's a good thing! So, it's all done. yes! a little more aging to the photo and this could be a postcard purchsed in the 50's from a motor lodge lobby, preferably a hojo's. :)
