I Heart My iPod

Back in October I finally got around to buying myself an iPod. I was instantly smitten with it, and I simply love taking advantage of all of the great stuff there is to listen to and watch! The local NPR station doesn't carry a lot of my favorite shows, but it doesn't matter anymore because I can subscribe to them through iTunes and listen to them at my leisure. Yes! I've also found some podcasts in French, that are helping me keep up my language skills. I recently happened upon a video podcast called 'Six Minutes' (that's 'cease meenootes,' btw, not six minutes) that's a six minute version of a French newscast. It tells me what's cooking in France, with news and culture, and world news as well. I have links of some of my favorite podcasts to the left.

So, at any rate, the iPod is small, and it has all these small bits that go with it, and I'm always worried about dropping or losing something, particularly when I'm taking it to my car to listen to through the car radio. Friday, after making a new valance for the upstairs window, I had a strip left of the decorator fabric that I had used, and I rather hated to throw it away because it's such a fun fabric. I was looking at it and looking at it, trying to figure out what I could do with such a narrow strip of fabric, and then I had an epiphany! A little iPod wallet! One half securely holds my iPod, and the other half can hold the radio adaptor, or the ear buds, or whatever. I took it in the car today, as I had a two hour round trip drive to make, and it worked splendidly!
